A sad memorable date

How do I use my friend and companion, the Webster’s New World College Dictionary? There are 1,577 pages of definitions in small print. Let’s look at the definition of person — “a human being, esp. as distinguished from a thing or lower animal, an individual man, woman, child.” What, then, is a human being? Webster’s definition is —”belonging to or typical of man, the human race; consisting of or produced by people; the noun-person.” From that, it is quite logical that a human being is a person.

Reproduction begins with various stages of development. The first stage is called zygote — at conception a male sperm united with a female ovum. The embryo is the second stage of development — the human being from the time of the first cell division until the eighth week of life. The third stage is — the fetus — a human being from the eighth week of life until birth.

In 1973, Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmum wrote the ruling to legalize abortion — Roe vs. Wade. That ruling legalized abortion throughout the United States. That means inevitable death for the innocent unborn. The abortionist has no concern as to what stage or trimester human life has developed.

Jan. 22, 1973, is the sad memorable date of that horrendous ruling. Research shows that most Americans oppose most of the abortions performed in the United States. However, President Obama blatantly and without disconcert supports abortion.
