Jaycees adopt a Christmas family

PRINCETON — The Princeton Jaycees adopted a Freedom House family during the 2009 Christmas season

This is the third year the Princeton Jaycees have been able to help a Freedom House family.

“This is such a great project,” said Stacie Bloom of the Princeton Jaycees. “It is always nice to be able to help someone, especially at Christmas.”

The Jaycees is a young person’s leadership training organization with training accomplished through community service. The Jaycees opportunity is open to individuals between the ages of 18 and 40 who have a desire to meet new people and develop personal and leadership skills all while serving their community The Princeton Jaycees conduct several projects throughout the year including the annual Fourth of July fireworks display, Lunch in the Park and the Homestead Festival beer gardens.

The Jaycees are actively seeking individuals who would be interested in joining to better themselves and the community in which they live and work.
