Community NotesPublic H1N1 clinic PRINCETON — Perry Memorial Hospital will hold an H1N1 flu vaccine clinic for the public from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the lower level conference room near the cafeteria. This clinic is open to persons of all ages and is free of charge. You will be required to wait 15 minutes in the conference room after your vaccine. Call (815) 876-4481 if you have questions. Blood drive PRINCETON — An American Red Cross blood drive, sponsored by the Bureau County Metro Center, will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Feb. 9 in Shoemake Hall at the Metro Center, 827 Park Ave. West. Valentine dance rescheduled PRINCETON — The previously scheduled Moose Lodge Valentine dinner and dance has been moved from Feb. 13 to Feb. 20 so as not to conflict with the Bureau County Red Cross Valentine dinner and dance. The Princeton Moose ask everyone to support the Red Cross dinner dance Feb. 13. Everyone is also invited to the Moose Lodge for a “belated” valentine dinner and dance Feb. 20. A roast pork dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. followed by the dance from 8 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person. The dance only cover charge is $7. Driving review course PRINCETON — A Rules of the Road review course for all citizens in the Princeton area will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Bureau County Senior Center, 16 W. Marion St. The course, free to anyone who wishes to attend, is sponsored by Secretary of State Jesse White in cooperation with the Bureau County Senior Center. ‘Night at the Improv’ PRINCETON — The Bureau County United Way’s second annual “Night at the Improv,” a comedy dinner auction, will be at 6 p.m. March 6 at Wise Guys Bar & Grill in Princeton. The event will include a dinner buffet, professional comedy improv show, silent auction, live auction, dessert auction, 50/50 drawing and prize drawings. Tickets are $35 per person, $65 per couple or $200 for a reserved table of six. Tickets are limited to 200. Pancake lunch PRINCETON — The congregation of Open Prairie United Church of Christ invites the public to join them for a pancake lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 14 at the church. Proceeds from the lunch will be donated to the relief efforts in Haiti. The suggested donation for the lunch is $3 to $5 for adults. Open Prairie is located at 25 E. Marion St. in Princeton.
