LADD — Irma I. Gambiani, 93, formerly of Ladd Died at 11:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.

Born Sept. 1, 1916, in Cherry to Lodovico and Isabella (Barbeao) Rocca. she married Joseph P. Gambiani in 1944. He died Oct. 21, 1982.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Benedict Church in Ladd and its Altar and Rosary Society and the Farm Bureau.

Surviving are one daughter, Carolyn (Steven) Walmann of Rolling Meadows; one son, Joseph P. (Ruth) Gambiani of Seatonville; three granddaughters, Tina (Tom) Klein of LaMoille, Lisa (Charles) Fugitt of Peoria and Lana (Aaron) Eddy of Mendota; and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one son-in-law.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church, Cherry, with the Rev. Paul Meismer officiating. Private burial will be in Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the church.

The Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd is handling arrangements.

The Princeton High School Tigers beat the Rock Falls Rockets Wednesday 66-55 during sectional play at Byron. The Tigers will now play the undefeated Winnebago Indians at 7:30 p.m. Friday for the sectional championship.
