Roger Riordan
PRINCETON — Roger R. Riordan, 89, of Princeton died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at his home.
Born June 20, 1920, in Solomon, Kan., to John B. and Mabel (Cafferty) Riordan, he married Lois Terlisner June 21, 1952, in St. Patrick’s Church in Alton. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was plant supervisor for the Hennepin Power Plant.
He was an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Princeton VFW, American Legion, Elks Club, Knights of Columbus and Rotary.
Also surviving are five children, James B. (Jeannie) Riordan of Bloomington, Nancy (Jeff) Van Dixhorn of St. Louis, Judy (Dan) Cooper of Georgia, Sally (Noel) Bruns of Oregon, Ill., and Molly (Kevin) Heinz of Kazakhstan; five sisters, Gertrude Sullivan and Thalia (Larry) Funt, both of Maryland, Betty Martin and Janice Puth, both of Texas, and Catherine Kramer of Florida; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James; two sisters, Rita and Genevieve Riordan; and one grandson, Charles Cooper.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Princeton, with Father Jeffery Stirniman officiating. Burial will be private and at a later date in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be private.
Memorials may be directed to St. Louis Catholic Church or Perry Memorial Hospital.
The Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton is in charge of arrangements.
