Due to the power outage, village workers were unable to determine exactly how much water was in the water tower. To prevent this from occurring in future power outages, Minks would like to have Koser Electric of Walnut install a transfer relay switch that would be hard-wired, so when the power does go out, the village crew could plug in the generator to the tower and have an accurate reading on the water level in the tower. The cost would be $400. A motion by Trustee Lori Wilkinson and seconded by Trustee Dennis Grobe to purchase the transfer relay switch was made and unanimously passed. In other business, the board: • Designated Nicole Wierzbicki, the village clerk, to be the designated Freedom of Information Acts (FOIA) Officer for the village. • Will discuss at the Feb. 15 meeting those village businesses that are interested in borrowing money from the revolving loan fund to make improvements, bring in new jobs and retain jobs their employers currently have. • Approved payment of bills in the amount of $11,059.38. |
