Cherry Grade School coaches Ryan Luecke and Frank Pullam took the Comets basketball players to the University of Illinois vs. Penn State game on Jan. 12 at the Assembly Hall in Champaign. Luecke said it was his gift to the team for “their hard work this year.” They stopped and ate at Buffalo Wild Wings in Champaign before going to the game. Members of the Comet party making the road trip include (front row, from left) Tyler Pullam, Drew Pullam, Tony Keeney, coach Luecke and Jacob Guerrero; and (back row) Matthew Hoscheid, Austin Schmitt, Dom Pozzi, Aaron Mitchell, Connor Whitten and Joseph Kobold.
