Auxiliary, Legion to meet Wednesday

PRINCETON — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will hold its business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post home, 1549 W. Peru St. in Princeton. The Unit will continue to go over the standing rules and discuss the new ones needed to be put into place. Members should bring copies of the standing rules that were sent a couple of months ago. Only a few copies will be available at the meeting.

A report will be heard on the proceeds from the Unit’s soup supper and bake sale table held in January.

The 82nd annual Patriotic Conference will be March 19 in Lisle. The deadline for housing reservations is Feb. 18. Paperwork was handed out during the January meeting. National President Rita Navarrete will be at this conference.

American Legion Post 125 of Princeton will also conduct its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post home.

Discussion will be heard on upcoming happenings for the Post. Membership information can be had by attending this or any meeting or by calling Adjutant Bev Neff at (815) 872-0542 in the evenings, by calling the post home at (815) 872-1171 and leaving a message or by asking any Legion member.

The Legion is available for upcoming events for smaller class reunions, bridal/baby showers, smaller wedding receptions, family gatherings, rummage sales, monthly meetings, fundraisers, etc. For information, call the post home.

A light lunch will be served following the meetings.
