Community NotesAuxiliary workshop PRINCETON — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will conduct its February veterans workshop beginning at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the post home. Pancake breakfast LAMOILLE — The LaMoille Lions Club will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children from 6 to 12 and children under 5 are free. PJWC meeting PRINCETON — The Princeton Junior Woman’s Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Prouty Building in Princeton. All women, 18 years and older, are invited to attend and learn more about the Princeton Junior Woman’s Club and meet new people. Story hour PRINCETON — The Princeton Junior Woman’s Club will hold a library story hour from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Princeton Public Library. Story hour is for children ages of 3 to 6. This month’s theme is “Valentines Day.” Participants will listen to a Valentine story, make a Valentine and even decorate their own Valentine cookie. Angel Food distribution PRINCETON — Orders for Angel Food distribution for February are due Feb. 17 for distribution on Feb. 27. Menus are available at www.angelfoodministries.com or stop by the Victory Worship Center, 877 E. Peru St. Everyone qualifies. We accept cash, check, food stamps and credit/debit cards. Office hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Legion meeting SPRING VALLEY — Dominic O’Berto Post 182 of the American Legion will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Knights of Columbus rooms, 307 W. St. Paul St. in Spring Valley. HCE meeting PRINCETON — The Princeton Junior Home Extension HCE will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Naomi Farrell in Coleta Court. Co-hostess is Marge Zimmerman. The major lesson leaders are Zimmerman and Ramona Wedding. Fish fry OHIO — A fish fry, sponsored by the Ohio Booster Club, will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at Ohio schools and Pipe’s Pub on Main Street. The menu will include fish, potato salad and baked beans. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens. Carryouts are available by calling (815) 376-2934 or (815) 376-4414. Delivery will be available in Ohio. Breastfeeding support SPRING VALLEY — La Leche League of the Illinois Valley, a breastfeeding support group, will meet at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 18 in Webster Park. This group is designed to help mothers gain knowledge and support from other breastfeeding moms. February’s discussion will revolve around, but not limited to, “The Family and the Breastfed Baby”.
