Ruklick to be honored

PRINCETON — Former Princeton Tiger great Joe Ruklick will return to his alma mater 55 years after graduation to be honored by PHS for his accomplishments in the game, before tonight’s game at Prouty Gym vs. Streator.

It has been a special project of the PHS Booster Club, which is making an addition to the PHS trophy case in Ruklick’s honor, including replicas of the uniforms he wore for PHS, Northwestern and the Philadelphia Warriors.

Ruklick led PHS to back-to-back state tournament berths in the mid-’50s, including a fourth-place finish in 1955. Ruklick and gang beat Streator 48-37 for the 1955 sectional championship.
