LaMoille/Ohio didn’t score in the first quarter of Monday’s 1A regional opener against host Serena. Then sophomore Aubrey Molln came in and got them going.

Molln finished with nine points and Hailey Stouffer had 15 points, but the Lady Lions couldn’t climb out of the 12-0 hole, falling 54-33 to Serena om
“We came out pretty flat in the first half. I put Aubrey in a little bit in the second quarter and she really gave a spark we needed,” L/O coach Bill Stouffer said. “We just fell short, didn’t quite get the job done.”

Lady Lions Lorraine Stamberger and Mary Bartoli advanced in the three-point contest.

Wethersfield 81, DePue 24: The Flying Geese eliminated the Lady Giants in opening regional play Monday at Stark County.

Alicia Marquez led the Lady Giants (0-11) with 10 points.
