LADD — Margaret M. Grubb, 82, of 910 Cleveland St., Ladd died at 10:24 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Mrs. Grubb was born in Ladd on July 7, 1927, to John and Hazel Kerwin McCauley. She married Harold Grubb on June 27, 1959.
She was an independent insurance agent in Ladd for McCauley Insurance Agency and with her husband then merged to form the Harold Grubb Insurance Agency. She was a member of St. Benedict Church, Ladd American Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Social Services and volunteered at the Lighted Way in LaSalle and was a Hospice volunteer.
She is survived by one daughter, Carloyn (Denny Atwood Jr.) Fountain of Dunlap; one son, Gary Grubb of Las Cruces, N.M.; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 23, 1989 and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony's Church in Spring Valley with the Rev. Robert Spillman officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday with a rosary at 4:45 p.m. and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd.
Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
