Cody and Desteny (Kmetz) White of Toluca are the parents of a daughter, Taylor Paige Laverne, born Feb. 26 at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley. She weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and measured 21 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Mark and Robin Kmetz of Ladd.

Garrett Mecagni and Angela (Burgess) Liss of Dalzell are the parents of a son born March 3 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.

Allen

Matt and Brooke (Taylor) Allen of Ottawa are the parents of a daughter, Laynie Rayne, born March 2 at Community Hospital of Ottawa. She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and measured 18 inches in length. She was welcomed home by two sisters, MacKenzie Rae, 4 1/2, and Jordyn Renee, 2 1/2. Maternal grandparents are Dave and Karen Taylor of Sheffield. Paternal grandparents are Dave and Kim Allen of Ottawa. Great-grandparents are Mitchell "Mick" DeFauw of Sheffield, Shirley Taylor of Buda, Tom Bubenyank of Camanche, Iowa, and Betsy Allen of Cordova.
