
Library corner 3-11PRINCETON — The Princeton Book Club will discuss the book “Still Alice” by Lisa Genova at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Princeton Public Library. Also Thursday, watercolorist Dana Collins will present a program at 7 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. Monday, the movie “Girl with a Pearl Earring” will be shown. A preschool story hour will be held Tuesday with the theme “Spring.” The program will be held in the Youth Services Department, and preschool children and their parents or guardians are welcome to attend. Also on Tuesday, Anne Dittmer from Annie’s Little Pots will have a demonstration at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, the children’s movie “Goya” will be shown at 3:30 p.m. The library board will meet at 7 p.m., and the public is invited to attend. On March 18, Anne Dittmer will give a children’s art demonstration at 3:30 p.m. Dittmer will hold a workshop at 7 p.m. Registration is required by calling the library at (815) 875-1331. WYANET — If you walking into Raymond A. Sapp Library at 6:30 p.m. Thursday one could think they stepped back into history to anywhere between 1775 and 1783. There are people dressed in Revolutionary War-style garb. They are telling stories about war camp life and the types of clothing and arms they are wearing and carrying, but it is 2010 in Wyanet. The people telling the stories are Barb and Tyler Peterson of Wyanet. It is R.A. Sapp Library’s 2nd Thursday@the Library program for March. Barb and Tyler’s program will focus on the types of clothing worn during that time, what camp life was actually like, and about battle re-enactments of Revolutionary War Patriots. So step into the Wyanet Library and step back in time to our country’s beginning days. As always, refreshments will be served. Also, R.A.Sapp’s March Book Club is reading Matthew Dicks’ “Something Missing,” a tale of an OCD burglar and his crimes. The group will meet at 7 p.m. March 25. LAMOILLE — The book club will meet at the LaMoille-Clarion Library at 10:30 a.m. March 19. All adults are welcome to attend. If you have questions, call Joyce at (815) 638-2356. TISKILWA — The Tiskilwa Public Library will offer a variety of programs in Cabin Fever VII in February and March. “So Easy Yoga” is perfect for beginners, and will reduce stress and improve flexibility and muscle tone. The cost is $15, and the classes will be offered on March 12, 19 and 26. The teacher is Karyn Stark. “Crochet a Rag Rug” is a great way to use up fabric scraps. Those attending must already know how to single crochet. The class will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday by Karyn Stark. “U.F.O.” Quilt Class. Get your friends to join you at the library, and bring your unfinished projects to work on. The cost is $5, with lunch provided. The class will be held from noon to 4 p.m. March 18. OHIO — The Daily Grind Series for adults at the Ohio Public Library will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday. The Tri-County Opportunity Council will make a presentation on the topic “Area Resources.” On Friday, there will be a parent child reading time from 11 a.m. to noon. Kids open crafts will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday. Butter Braid orders are due Saturday, for pickup on March 27. The Ohio Library Book Review Group will meet at the Ohio Public Library at 7 p.m. March 17. LADD — The Ladd Public Library will be hosting a severe weather preparedness program at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The program, which will be presented by Kristine Donarski, coordinator of the Bureau County Emergency Service and Disaster Agency, will include information on what to do before, during, and after a severe weather event.
