quote,"The counties in question have been given the money in advance to decommission these farms should the developers walk away." Maybe Lee county accepted a cash escrow, but to the best of my knowledge Bureau county accepted a line of credit( http://www.bcrnews.com/articles/2008/03/27/news/doc47eb300f291a4209218710.txt).

Ignorant Jack regarding Just a ‘bad moment?’
The only problem with pit bulls is that they are usually smarter than their owners.

OnTheFritz regarding Tolerance ... it should
be mandatory
Ronald Regan's "Russia" gaff was deliberate? I'd like to see the research on that one. Not all Muslims are terrorists, just like the Westboro Church in Kansas does not speak for all Christians. Research the number of Muslims around the world. If they wanted to take over there are certainly enough to get the job done.

Commies? Where? China still has a communist ruling party, but it's the excellence of its capitalist economy that's giving us fits. The Soviet Union is gone ... though Russian nationalists wish it hadn't. North Korea is a kingdom, not a communist state.

Reality Checker regarding Tolerance ... it should
be mandatory
From reading some history on Ronald Reagan, the so called on air blooper regarding bombing the Russians was done deliberatly. They wanted to get the Russians attention and this was acheived, and eventually Reagan and his policies helped break the communist back in Russia. Of course there is a great resurgence of outward commie behavior again as they view the US as becoming weaker and weaker, and we are.

Any dog can turn on a person. My dog (a coon hound beagle mix)turned on me during our play time years ago when we first got her. She had had enough and bit my hand so hard, she sprained it. I love her but in my mind, I know she is an animal with animal instincts. Maybe I posed a threat to her at a point, perhaps I moved suddenly and she became afraid. I will never know. But she let me know that she didn't like whatever it was I had done by the only way she knew how. Nancy has many years of experience with animals and she knows what she is talking about. She wouldn't have the job she does if she didn't.

Why? regarding Let them experience the opportunities
It is opportunity plus education that these kids are missing out on. All the money in the world is not going to bring kids to the school. There are only 35 kids registered at the high school this year. The people in the community need to start asking the administration and board to give them answers to what their tax dollars are paying for.

i agree with onthefritz. the only good pit bull is a dead one. i think this breed should be outlawed.

phs82 regarding Where’s that medallion?
Am I the only one who is wishing WZOE would update more frequently on the Medallion Hunt? Citizen's hasn't even published the 3rd clue yet....would just like to know if it's been found or not.

formerbulldog regarding Let them experience the opportunities
I agree multiple sessions of the same course with limited kids does sound silly. However maybe this is the only way for kids in a smaller school to get the very opportunities that you are talking about. Teach these classes at only one time during the day and some kids may see their opportunities limited by schedule conflicts that they can not resolve. as for performance; If some of your kids need to take remedial courses in college maybe the solution should be improving their education at your school rather than simply send them somewhere else. It appears to me that some people will never be happy: "no amount of money in the world is going to change that"
