LOMBARD — Damon “Ed” Pollitt, the husband of the late Bernita Giltner, 79, of Lombard, died at his home Friday Sept. 3, 2010, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

DWIGHT — Rebecca Lynn Venegas, 50, of the Fox Development Center in Dwight, died at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at the center.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Enice Dhesse, 99, formerly of Spring Valley and for several years of living with her daughter near Kansas City, Mo., died at 5:10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at the New Mark Care Center in Kansas City, Mo.

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — Kathryn R. Justi, 92, of 186 Lake Club Circle, Hendersonville, N.C., died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at her home.

SPRING VALLEY — Dolores T. Fassino, 82, of 512 W. Third St., Spring Valley, died at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Michael Porter, another of the last jazz musicians of the world has been lost. He was born Feb. 16, 1952, in Pennsylvania to Geraldine Hillard and died of Huntington’s disease on Aug. 15, 2010. She and Robert Porter bore four other children before she realized she had inherited the dreaded gene of which she later died. Two of Mike’s brothers are also afflicted.

PRINCETON — Gladys Mabel Mildred Swanson Mohr, 89, of Princeton died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria, Ill.

PRINCETON — Preston Lee Bishop, 70, of Princeton died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Orchard View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Princeton.

NEPONSET — Gerva Dean Ann Weber, 83, of Neponset died at 5:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at Kewanee Hospital in Kewanee.

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — John W. McCloud Sr., 80, of Travelers Rest, S.C., died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, S.C.

ARLINGTON — Eurith L. Goetz, 70, of Arlington died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Greater Peoria Specialty Hospital in Peoria.

PRINCETON — Helen M. Carlson, 93, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Orchard View Nursing Home in Princeton.

TISKILWA — Charles Arthur Rowe, 83, of Tiskilwa died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at Liberty Village of Princeton.

PRINCETON — Geraldine R. Meyer, 93, of Princeton died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Princeton.

NEPONSET — George Allan Bates, 68, of Neponset died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, near Princeton, the result of a motorcycle accident.

SPRING VALLEY — Elizabeth M. Fick, 86, formerly of Ottawa, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at the Spring Valley Nursing Home in Spring Valley.

PRINCETON — Joseph R. Bartylak, 85, of 508 Park Avenue East, Princeton, formerly of Godfrey, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

PRINCETON — Doris L. Hedgespeth, 85, of Princeton, formerly of Tiskilwa, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Liberty Village of Princeton.

SHEFFIELD — Garry M. Shofner, 59, of Sheffield died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at his home.

PRINCETON — Amelia M. Swanson, 94, of Princeton passed away at 11:23 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010 at Perry Memorial Hospital.

HARMON — Everett David Ulrich, 83, of 474 Eakle Road, Harmon, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at his home.

SPRING VALLEY — Louis Darwish, 78, of Spring Valley died at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at home.
